Mr. Alfred Ekiye is a finance and public sector professional with extensive experience in banking and public debt management. He currently heads the Policy, Strategy and Risk Management Department (PSRMD) at the Debt Management Office (DMO), Nigeria, having risen through the ranks since joining the Organization in January 2008.

He began his professional career with the then Allstates Trust Bank Plc, where he worked as a Marketing and Credit Officer from November 1998 to December 2005. He later had a brief academic engagement as a Lecturer at the then Bayelsa State College of Arts and Science (BYCAS) from May 2007 to December 2007, before transitioning to federal service.

Mr. Ekiye holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Administration (Marketing Option) from Rivers State University, Port Harcourt (1998). He obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Financial Management Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (2004), and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Money and Capital Markets from Nasarawa State University, Keffi (2025). He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Money and Capital Markets at Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS), the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI), and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) (NIM). Mr. Ekiye is married with children.
